Description
Circa 1970, very stylish yew wood cabinet maker made occasional table. The top with its segmented sections of yew wood converge on a centre section of sycamore. There is a cross banded edge in yew and small crossbanded apron with a beaded fore edge. Beneath the top there are 3 stretchers to give the table stability and these are mortised into a very stylish turned tapering column of solid yew. From this protrude 3 cabriole legs finished with a turned roundel on each side. At the end of the pod there is a small turned finial also. This is a very stylish, clean occasional table.
