Description
Circa 1850. An early Victorian yellow pine bench of generous proportions. A solid top rail with two raised uprights each side, the slatted back with tongued and grooved slats, the one piece seat with cut outs for the front legs, with two primitive sloping arms supported on sturdy uprights, the back legs are square and out swept, with the tenon joints clearly visible, supported on six pairs of simple legs, each braced with a sturdy stretcher.
