Circa 1920s. An interesting stylish walnut side chair by ‘Whytock and Reid of Edinburgh’ with many ‘Sir Robert Lorimer’ influences. The cresting rail with similar shaped rail beneath, the well-shaped splat with chamfered back edge, the chair has a drop in upholstered seat. Moulded fore edge with a shaped frieze, back legs slightly out swept finishing on a simple foot, front cabriole legs finishing on a typical ‘Lorimeresque’ foot.
