Description
Circa 1900. An unusual and stylish side cabinet by ‘Whytock and Reid of Edinburgh’. The top with book matched flame mahogany with a small ledge back. The fore edge to the top has classic ‘Whytock & Reid’ and ‘Lorimer’ carving, with a solid back and two carved uprights at the front. Beneath is a bank of three pairs of drawers which graduate from top to bottom, with a finely carved flower head handles. Shaped frieze with further foliate carving and finishing on typical stylish ‘Lorimer’ feet.
