Description
Circa 1900. A good George III style mahogany inlaid tea caddy. The rectangular tea caddy inlaid with shells, string inlay with a cast brass lifting handle with elegant back plates, opens to reveal an uninterrupted interior, the front of the caddy has similar inlay to the top with string and boxwood inlay to the sides. Beneath the inlaid section there are multi mouldings in satinwood, resting on four diminutive ogee bracket feet. The caddy is polished on all sides and has a working key.
