Circa 1900. An extraordinary and unusual set of three tall walnut and burr walnut chairs by Whytock & Reid, after a design by Sir Robert Lorimer. The shaped top rail with elegant vase splat, with the finest burr walnut and walnut fore edge. Supported on reeded shaped uprights, burr walnut panel in the base, large stuff over seats with floral fabric, shaped and curved seat rail, cabriole back legs finishing on an elegant pad foot, front legs with carving on the facing finishing on a typical elegant Lorimeresque foot.
