Description
Circa 1825. A good George IV Scottish mahogany circular snap top dining table. The solid top, mellow in colour with ribbed foredge, to the underside is a double clasp for locking the table in position, and a locking arm for keeping the table open. The table rests on a bulbous stem with four large hipped saber legs which finish with a carved toe with scrolling foliate work on the front and sides. The table can seat 8 people.
