Description

Circa 1880. A quality pair of Scottish curling stones of typical form with polished top and base with rough sides, each with the original cast brass and wood handle, both engraved on the top of each lifting handle with ‘W. D. Dee Castle’, in excellent condition. (Dee Castle was a 15th-century castle, about 5 miles east of Ballater, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and south of the River Dee. It may be known alternatively as Kinacoul Castle).
