Description
Circa 1870, large pair of Roman style bronze tabletop candelabra. The top section has five candle holders; the four outer ones are in a symmetric formation and the centre one is slightly raised. These are all held in position by stylish cast arms which have an interesting pattern underneath. There are chains hanging from the top of each one and these are secured to one side on a small hook. The columns have an interesting flange top, are fluted and tapering with a pattern repeating towards the bottom. There is another flange below with a foliate carving and design pattern. The whole piece stands on an elegant tripod base in the form of animal hooves. The candelabra are cast, and super quality.
