Description
Circa 1830, pair of George IV rosewood open bookcases, with raised stage backs supported by finely turned columns. The tops are crossbanded, above carved roundels and 2 carved acanthus capitols. Inside are 2 adjustable shelves on each bookcase. The shelves have rosewood facing and have rosewood scumbling as does the inside of the bookcase. The bookcases stand on an enclosed plinth and below are 4 squat bun feet.
