Description
Circa 1890, unusual highly decorative carved walnut Louis XVI style armchair. The chair has foliate and floral carving and wonderful finials. The oval panel on the back, the seat pad and arm pads are upholstered in fine needle point. The chair is serpentine fronted, has shaped sides and stands on 4 elegant turned, fluted and tapering legs. Good example of cabinet making and needlepoint.
