Description
Circa 1880, late Victorian ormolu and glass chandelier, almost in the form of bag and tent. The top has a circular bezel in the form of a cornette with long glass drops beneath. From this run several chains of diamond shaped glass strung together which trail down to the lower section. There is a larger ormolu bezel in the same form of the top, and from this come four Rococo style arms with candleholders, recently rewired for electricity. The candleholders have stylish sconces and foliate casting, and again finish with long glass drops. The main body has four layers of glass drops, and at the bottom is a simple flower head finial to finish it off.
