Description
Circa 1930s. A large satin-birch and walnut combination wardrobe by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh, the simple cornice with foliate carving on the facing, the front with a combination of two full length doors with a large cupboard in the center with a bank of drawers beneath all cross banded in walnut, the doors left and right have uninterrupted hanging space, doors and cupboard with the original cast brass drop handles, the drawers have cast brass swan neck handles with pierced back plates. The bottom drawer cupboards have a shaped frieze with typical Sir Robert Lorimer styling, all resting on six profusely carved Whytock & Reid carved feet.
