Description
Circa 1820. A late Regency or George IV mahogany dining table in the manner of ’Gillow’s of Lancaster.’ The top in beautifully figured Cuban mahogany with four original leaves, the rounded corners with moulded fore-edge and a simple frieze, raised on four reeded tapering legs terminating on a brass cup with original brass castors beneath. The leaves are held in place by cast brass clasps and the table works on a pull-out mechanism, with great colour and patination, clean stylish and sturdy.
