Description
Circa 1825. An unusual stylish George IV mahogany desk. The raised shaped back with a concave drawer flanked by a pair of cupboards with ebony inlay and diamond shaped escutcheons and Tuscan style pilasters, the polished surface with wonderful colour and patination, with a configuration of one short drawer flanked by a pair of drawers, with the finely carved knee-hole including cornucopia, fruit and wheat, resting on four turned legs, the ones in the front sitting proud and running from below the flat surface.
