Description
Circa 1775, George III mahogany and brass bound Irish plate bucket. The tapering bucket has staved sides and a cast brass lifting handle fixed on the sides of the top strap by an elaborate anchor shaped fixing. The bucket has two cast brass bands which surround it. At one side is a small dip in the centre for lifting the plates out. The bucket has a mahogany base and excellent colour.
