Description
Circa 1780. A George III mahogany tambour fronted bedside commode of generous proportions, the solid top with its wavy wrap around gallery which dips low at the front, the pair of tambour doors beneath open to reveal an uninterrupted interior, beneath a drawer with cast brass swan neck handle and shaped frieze, the bedside rests on 4 square legs the front ones with reeding on the facings, cast brass lifting handles to the side all resting on brass castors.
