Description
Circa 1750. A late George II mahogany bureau of desirable proportions, the top in finely figured mahogany, the hinge flap opens to reveal a well fit interior with a solid mahogany writing surface, various pigeon holes with shaved tops, drawers and mirror cupboard in center which opens to reveal a pull out secret drawer at the top and 2 drawers beneath, with configuration of 4 full length drawers which taper from top to bottom the liners of the drawers in oak sign of quality, beneath the bottom drawers a simple moulding, all resting on the original bracket feet (handles have been changed) the bureau has great colour and patination.
