Description
Circa 1750 A rare and unusual George II two-part Mahogany Military Chest, the solid top with fine caddy fore-edge with the configuration of 3 short drawers over 1 full-length drawer, the base with 2 full-length drawers all with the original cast brass swan neck handles with pierced back-plates, between the top and bottom section there is a moulding running around the front and sides, the top and the bottom sections each with a pair of Cass brass lifting handles, beneath the bottom drawer there’s an elegant moulding, all resting on four stout bracket feet.
