Circa 1880, French inlaid walnut freestanding Bureau de Dame. In a bombe shape with a wavy marquetry top and three-quarter brass pierced gallery, above a bombe shaped flap with marquetry designs and cartouche escutcheon. Inside are 3 serpentine shaped drawers, a small well and a red velvet and gold braid lined writing surface. The sides and the apron with further inlay, all standing on cabriole legs topped with brass mounts and finishing on cast sabots.
