Description
Circa 1880, French marquetry inlaid walnut ladies writing desk/bureau de dame. The wavy shaped top has a three quarter fretted brass gallery and floral inlay surrounded by a string border. Below this, the bombe shaped fall front with similar inlay opens to show a fitted interior with drawers and a slide back compartment. The shaped sides and apron at the front are also inlaid with marquetry and string inlay. All standing on cabriole supports with brass mounts.
