Description
Circa 1890, exhibition quality set of 6 carved walnut dining chairs, in the Portuguese taste. The tall carved upright backs with shaped top rail, open fretwork, and wonderfully carved splat, stands on 2 carved cabriole legs finishing in a hoof foot. The understretcher is shaped and united with a wonderful upright carved stretcher. Excellent colour and patina.
