Exhibition Quality Pair of Baroque Style Wall Sconces

Description

Circa 1840.  A pair of baroque style double arm wall sconces, the cartouche shaped backs in carved and gilded wood issuing two stylish and shaped foliate arms terminating with a pair of candle holders with carved caps and drip trays beneath, the base and sides with pierced and carved gilded wood, the concave panel in the center with 18^th century style needlepoint upholstery, all in excellent condition.
