Description
Circa 1880. Exceptional George II style figured walnut cabinet bookcase or display cabinet on stand. The triple arched, moulded top with a central carved shell above two square astragal glazed doors opening to bookcase with adjustable shelves. The base with a moulded fore-edge above two shallow and three deeper drawers with solid oak linings and engraved cut brass handles, one stamped ‘Gill & Reigate’, above a shaped skirt with carved shell and supported on exceptional cabriole legs with foliate carved knees and paw feet.
