Description
Circa 1900, unusual Edwardian mahogany bow fronted side table/serving table. There is a small ledge at the back with rounded corners and slightly rounded ends. Beneath the top there is a full length bow fronted drawer with a very stylish brass handle. The back plate has swags and tails and an oval pattern in the centre. Beneath the drawer there is an unusual concave section with 2 solid mahogany doors which have a pattern carved into them giving the impression of quilling. The doors have brass knobs and slide back to show an open section. Either side of these 2 doors there is a serpentine panel. The whole piece stands on 4 square tapering legs which have a brass bezel beneath and stand on brass castors. The side table is clean and sturdy.
