Description
Edwardian copy of ‘The Golfers’ by Charles Lees (1800-1880). The style indicates that it was a proof, with the date of the printing, the engraver, painting and title ‘The Golfers’ and to the right ‘printed in England’. The print is in a carved and gilded frame, with a slip burnished in gold lead with some blushing (the red base beneath coming through).
