Description
Circa 1900, Qing dynasty Chinese red lacquered altar table. The long narrow table has raised ends typical of the Chinese style and a beaded fore-edge to the apron, which continues down to form the brackets of the legs. With foliate carving on both sides, and simple legs which form the frame for the carved and pierced end panels, designed with Chinese motifs. The table is polished on both sides, making it freestanding.
