Description
Circa 1870, carved mahogany revolving grotto stool, with the trade label of Edwards and Roberts, London. With a scooped out seat in solid mahogany and small gallery back which is fixed to a thread revolving mechanism. It has a tapering column, carved acanthus leaves on the base and a mythical lion mask. Sitting on a round platform over three lions claw feet; the castors have been removed and with a central trade label of Edwards and Roberts.
