Description
Circa 1900, Anglo-Chinese carved wood and inlaid occasional table. The cartouche-shaped top with central reserve inlaid in bone and bamboo plants within bone and ebony-inlaid borders depicting Kylin, Ho-Ho birds and foliage, above an open carved apron depicting leaves and fruit. The column is carved in high relief with a coiled dragon above a pierced collar, and the whole piece stands on four downswept and inlaid legs. Unusual and very stylish.
