Description
Circa 1920’s. A pine Adam style mantelpiece with solid top with a simple moulding, the frieze with a large raised panel, flanked by a pair of panels of carved gesso in the form of swags and tails of beading, topped by a pair of flower-heads, beneath this there is a ribbed section in Gesso which continues down the sides, headed with flower-heads, the uprights with a pair of flat pilasters framing carved Gesso beading, with a small breakfront base to the bottom of the pilasters.
