Description
Circa 1860. A quality George II style carved mahogany armchair. The elaborate shaped and carved back with a pierced splat profusely carved with rocaille, C scrolls and acanthus above a shaped drop in seat with needlework upholstery, flanked by supported scrolling arms with carved flower-heads and shell terminals. The seat rail similarly carved raised on rocaille carved cabriole legs ending on carved shell feet.
