Description
Circa 1870, an unusual matched set of 3 framed pottery lids. The 2 circular lids, with the caption ‘the best card’ showing people playing cards in an inn, the second circular one shows a harbour scene on the continent, with boats and people walking on the dock-side the third one with rectangular canter corners, shows a battle has the name ‘Wouvermann’ printed on it. The lids are held in place by a solid oak slip contained in a moulded oak frame.
