Description
Circa 1790. Quality set of 12 mahogany dining chairs, with a shaped beaded top rail, back with three pierced uprights capped with carved acanthus leaves. The curved and shaped arms supported on elegant uprights, the large stuff over seat with a piped fore-edge and five fabric buttons giving the impression of been a squab cushion. Back legs are square and slightly out swept the front legs are square and tapering, braced by H shaped stretchers to the underside, back legs braced also. Set consisting on 10 side and 2 armchairs.
