Description
Circa 1900. An interesting stylish carved pitch pine and painted corner wardrobe. The moulded top with an elegant carved frieze, including flower heads and scrolling leaves, the full-length door with two gothic arches with hand embroidered panel, carving and in the base. The facings of the door are similar to that of the frieze with panels at the side, hand painted with foliate and ivy entwined. The inside of the robe is lined in fabric, with a small shelf and a single rail beneath, all resting on an enclosed plinth.
