Description
Circa 1920. A stylish Art Deco strut clock, the shaped frame with a crested top, with the bevel edged glass held in place by fine brass beading, the brass dial with Roman numerals and a pair of hand-cut hands, the base of the dial inscribed ‘Bright & sons Scarborough’ and stamped beneath this, ‘French Escapement’, the face and hands laid on a quilted mahogany background, the back of the clock in brass with the movement containing a brass drum with a hinged brass bracket to support the clock.
