Description
Circa 1825. An excellent George IV mahogany 3 door cabinet bookcase. The moulded stepped cornice with ogee and convex c mouldings, above three full length doors flanked by a pair of elegant paneled pilasters. Each of the sections with adjustable shelves with polished facings, the doors with original patent action locks, working perfectly. The flat section in plum pudding mahogany and the base with three raised paneled doors with fine beadings, flanked by a smaller pilaster similar to the top, all resting on an enclosed shaped plinth which follows the form of the bookcase, with a cut out section at the back to accommodate a skirting board.
