Description
Circa 1770. A Chippendale period mahogany chest on chest. The top with stylish moulded cornice with dental and cavetto detail and a flame mahogany frieze. The top ribbed canted corners and a configuration of two short over three full length graduating drawers, each with original escutcheon, cast brass swan-neck handles and elegant back-plates. The base with a drawer secretaire drawer, which opens to a simple interior with drawers, pigeon holes and a small cupboard, beneath this there are three further drawers, all resting on four squat stout bracket feet.
