Description
Circa 1820. A quality patent action George IV mahogany fold over telescopic dining table. In the closed position the table looks like an outsized tea table, the rectangular top with rounded corners in fine flamed mahogany. The top is hinged and when opened has a polished interior, the undercarriage has two scissor actions (wood & metal). The table opens on eight turned and fluted legs and takes three extra leaves, the front of the table is a deep frieze with flame mahogany with ebony inlay panels with oval panels on the front and sides.
