Description
Circa 1880, French inlaid rosewood bonheur du jour. With a glazed cabinet to the top with pierced brass gallery, 2 bevelled edge glass doors and brass beadings and interior with simulated rosewood and a single shelf. The serpentine shaped flap of the bureau section is smothered in marquetry, opening to a writing surface, small well and 3 inlaid drawers, above a shaped, inlaid apron. Standing on 4 cabriole legs with ormolu mounts to the top, and cast brass and ormolu sabots to the base.
