Description
Circa 1860, pair of Dutch marquetry and inlaid walnut chairs. The frame is smothered in classic Dutch marquetry motifs including baskets, flowers and foliage, including the backs and the elegant splat backs. The drop in seats have been recently re-upholstered and are over a shaped seat rail, supported on slightly outswept rear legs and front legs with carved shell knees, finishing on an animal feet.
