Description
Circa 1790 with minor adaptations, George III inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase. Surmounted by a broken arched pediment over a moulded cornice and inlaid frieze, it has twin astragal glazed doors with original glazing, and the interior with 3 sliding adjustable shelves. The bureau has an oval inlaid panel to the flap, and inside is an inlaid door, drawers, pigeonholes and secret drawer. There are 4 graduated inlaid drawers with oval brass handles and a moulded base with bracket feet.
